About
Geographic, Puglia is the ‘heel’ of the Italian boot. It has the longest coastline of any province (800 kilometers), and produces almost 40% of the country’s olive oil. It's also where the now-ubiquitous burrata cheese comes from. Need we say more?
Puglia has only come onto the international traveler’s radar in the past ten years. Given its myriad charms, visitors to the region have boomed. It’s a gastronomical paradise, given its warm and dry climate, surrounding seas, and distinct local traditions. The food is fresh, straightforward and rustic. The olive oil is ethereal. The wines are expressive and powerful.
We invite you to a dinner gathering at an excellent Puglian-specialty restaurant for a sampling of dishes, paired with carefully curated local wines. If you’ve never tried wines made from bombino, falanghina, negroamaro, nero di troia or susumaniello, you’ll be in for something unique!
A few Puglians will be joining us to describe the local culture and history. We may even showcase traditional music. It will be a chance to explore the region with all five senses!
Spaces are limited to 20 participants, so book early!
