About

Many Australian winemakers are now making their Shiraz wines fruitier, softer and ready to drink earlier than has been traditional. We will start with a full-flavoured Viognier, the grape of Condrieu, often blended with Syrah in the Northern Rhone. Then we have a flight of nine Shiraz wines going back to 2005 from different parts of Australia from a range of makers, mainly very well-known. Penfolds makes Grange Shiraz, and Henschke makes Australia’s top wine, Hill of Grace Shiraz.  Here is an opportunity to compare wines from the budget priced to the very expensive.

The tasting will be accompanied by a cold buffet supplied by the Club.
