So many wines, so many choices… How to decide? Price for one. But which bottles deliver good QPR (quality/price ratio) - Budget ‘plonk’ or Bourgie (bourgeois) ‘posh slosh’?
IWFS Capital Branch will be conducting a head-to-head blind tasting of four pairs of wine styles. Each pair will pit an inexpensive bottle against one that is much more pricey. Which tastes better? Will the price difference be justified? You can help us decide! And our Cork Dork experts will be present to take everyone through the cost factors and production methods for mass market versus premium wines.
We'll be pouring four head-to-head blind pairings:
- Sparkling wine
- Chardonnay
- A red Italian variety
- A Bordeaux blend
